Lifetime Singers/Lifetime Learners Choir

The Lifetime Singers/Lifetime Learners Choir will meet June 12 & 16 under the direction of Mr. Norman Mackenzie, director of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Choruses and organized by Jon Arnold and Ariel Merivil. The choir will pay tribute to Robert Shaw and explore Mr. Shaw’s rehearsal techniques. Adult singers from colleges, community choruses and church choirs are encouraged to participate.

The repertoire for the event consists of six sacred choruses. Four of these selections are in the public domain and can be accessed by clicking here. Please print these scores. The June 12th rehearsal will be held at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, while the June 16th rehearsal and concert will be held at Spivey Hall in Morrow. Please view the brochure for more information.


The Lifetime 2014 Singers/Lifetime Learners Choir joins with conference attendees in preparing the premiere of Jocelyn Hagan’s “To See the Sky,” a work commissioned by GA ACDA to honor the memory of our beloved colleague, Dr. Amy Foster.
