St Andrew United Methodist Church, 3455 Canton Rd, Marietta, GA (<http://www.thepumpkinchurch.org/> ) seeks a half-time Director of Music Ministries starting in August. Responsibilities are:
Sunday morning and Wednesday evening rehearsal with chancel choir (25 members); 10:45 traditional Sunday service;
Rehearsals once per week with handbells and senior adult choirs, respectively; Services during Holy Week and Advent;
1 Saturday choir retreat on campus; Seasonal liturgical planning with the Senior Pastor; Oversee Music Associate and 3 children’s choirs; Oversee music for 8:30 traditional service; Weekly staff meetings, monthly church council and worship committee meetings.
A successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Music degree, gifts for organization and leadership, and be a competent conductor. Instruments include a 2-manual Allen Organ, Kawai grand piano, and 3-octave handbell set and hand chimes. An organist and accompanist/associate are in place.

Children’s Choir Director
First Presbyterian, Gainesville, is searching for a part-time director of two elementary choirs, beginning in August. Each choir (Carol grades 1-2 and Crusader grades 3-5) rehearses for 45 minutes on Wednesday evenings from late August through mid-May. Volunteer accompanists, choir assistants, and parents supply team support. Heavy reliance on Choristers Guild materials. Children sing for traditional worship every 4-6 weeks. Children’s choirs also participate in Christmas concert and spring program. Previous experience in directing elementary children very helpful. The salary for this position is based on 42 weeks per year which includes 34 weeks of rehearsals and 8 weeks of planning and preparation when choirs do not meet. Continuing education benefit also included. The church is located one hour north of Atlanta, and is easily accessible via I-85 or GA 400. Director Positions at Glenn
Glenn Memorial UMC has director positions available for their Carol Choir (1st-2nd grades) and Covenant Choir (3rd-5th grades). Both choirs rehearse Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30, late August through early May, participate in musical programs and sing for worship.
