Ann Howard Jones is Professor of Music and Director of Choral Activities at
Boston University where she conducts the Boston University Symphonic Chorus and Chamber Chorus and teaches advanced choral conducting. Her degrees are from the University of Iowa, Georgia and Illinois and at Wittenberg and Emory Universities. Dr. Jones was assistant conductor for Choruses for the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra where she was associated with the late Robert Shaw. She also served as Musical Assistant with the Robert Shaw Chamber Singers and Festival Singers and has appeared as a guest lecturer for numerous major musical organizations. She has completed her twelfth season as conductor of the Boston University Tanglewood Institute Young Artists Choruses and her guest conducting appearances have included numerous concerts throughout the country. A Life member of ACDA, she has conducted over 20 All-State Choruses.
