Under his leadership, chorus students are consistently selected for the GMEA All-State Chorus and a variety of district, regional, and state Honor Choirs. His ensembles regularly receive Superior Ratings at the Georgia Music Educators Association’s Large Group Performance Evaluations (LGPE), continuing a strong tradition of choral excellence. Mr. Duncan has been recognized for his service as the 2025 DeKalb School of the Arts STAR (Student and Teacher Achievement Recognition) Teacher and the 2026 DeKalb School of the Arts Teacher of the Year. Mr. Duncan holds degrees in Music Education and Conducting from the University of Kentucky, Campbellsville University, and Auburn University. In addition to his work in education, he is an active performer with the Atlanta Master Chorale and the Orpheus Men’s Ensemble of Georgia.
