Clinician Bio:
Paul Neal
A native of Louisiana, Dr. Paul Neal is currently the Director of Choral Activities at Berry College where he oversees the choral program and serves as Professor of Music. Prior to his appointment at Berry College, Paul served on the faculty at Valdosta State University in Valdosta, GA and Kilgore College in Kilgore, Texas. Dr. Neal has studied with such conductors as Donald Neuen, Dennis Shrock, Jerry McCoy, and Gerald Steichen. Choirs under his direction have received invitations to sing at both the Georgia Music Educators Association In-Service Conference and the Southern Division Convention of the American Choral Directors Association. Recent conducting opportunities have included an appearance at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center, and with the ensemble Clerestory in San Francisco, CA. He has conducted honor choirs in Texas, California, Georgia, Virginia, and England. He has given presentations for several organizations, including the Georgia Music Educators Association. His choral compositions and arrangements have been published by Alliance Music Publications and Walton Music Publishing. He also serves as Past-President of the Georgia Chapter of the American Choral Directors Association.
About this event
Georgia ACDA will host our inaugural All College Choir to take place during our Fall Conference. Collegiate students from across the state will come together to rehearse and make beautiful music under the direction of Dr. Paul Neal from Berry College. Following the treble honor performance, the All College Choir participants will present a concert showcasing their talent and hard work. Come join for us a wonderful day of music making.
Eligibility
All singers and their collegiate directors need to be current ACDA members. Collegiate directors are invited to bring up to 2 balanced quartets to represent your college/university.
HONOR CHOIR COST
The cost to participate in this event is $40 per singer. This will include the event, professional instrumental accompanists, as well as included GA-ACDA Conference Registration for all singers. Singers’ membership with ACDA is NOT included and they will need to purchase their own student membership ($15) through National ACDA. Music is NOT included, but students should have their own LEGAL copies of each piece of music as well as a pencil during rehearsal. Students need to have a black folder for performance, J.W. Pepper will provide one with music purchase, however students can also bring their own ring choral folder from the university for performance up to the discretion of the collegiate director.

Registration Process
All collegiate directors will add one “All College Choir Registration” to their cart. You will need to complete the form that pops up. Please note - you will be asked to provide each singer’s ACDA member number with the form. Proceed with checking out for $0
GA-ACDA will send directors an electronic invoice notating their confirmed numbers of singers. Directors may then choose to check out electronically or to mail a check. W-9s for GA-ACDA can be provided upon request.
Registration will close on Monday, September 15. When registering, directors may indicate if they would like to nominate more singers if space allows. Directors will be contacted directly if we are able to accommodate additional singers.

Performance Attire
All singers will be asked to perform in their collegiate choral uniform or PROFESSIONAL concert black. Sleeves need to be at least to the elbow, black bottoms that reach the floor, and closed toed formal black shoes are expected. Singers not dressed appropriately will be asked to not perform.

Friday Night Dinner Suggestions
Note: There is a KSU home football game on the evening on October 3rd. We recommend that All College Choir students avoid eating dinner on Chastain Road as they may experience delays in service and road closures to and from dinner. There are plenty of dinner options on Wade Green Road or in Downtown Kennesaw.
Driving Directions / Parking information
Car Parking
KSU Central Parking Deck located at 525 Parliament Garden Way NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144 (circled in red). Please park on the 3rd floor or higher to avoid getting a citation. The Bailey Performing Arts center (488 Prillaman Way, Kennesaw, GA 30144) is approximately a 6-minute walk from the Central Parking Deck. Head west on Prillaman Way and look for signs that say GA-ACDA Conference.
Handicapped Parking: Any guests with a handicap tag may legally park in any handicap designated parking spot in any campus parking lot (including Lot D & E) – no KSU parking permit required.
Bus Drop-off:
All honor choir attendees arriving by bus should plan on being dropped off along Prillaman Way on the Bailey Center/Zuckerman Museum side - between Lot E and the 4-way stop at Owl Drive - across from the Visitor Lot. If needed, loop around: take Owl Drive south, turn right on Bartow Ave, turn right on Campus Loop Rd, through the roundabout onto Prillaman Way again. See attached map.
Bus Idling:
Buses will need to idle at the back of the First United Lutheran Church parking lot located at 3481 Campus Loop Rd Kennesaw, GA 30144. Signage for this parking lot may be labeled “West Economy Lot”. See map below.
Note: There is a KSU home football game on the evening on October 4th. Parents, attendees, and spectators of the concert should avoid using Big Shanty 75 express lane to access campus and rather proceed to Chastain Road to avoid road closures due to the football game.
